| The trick is in the mask- Bronnikov payed big money to learn the design that allows to see through a very small hole to the side of the mask but only if you know how to use it. All the kids failed controlled studies and of course there was always an excuse why they did. Ask any of them to use your own mask and they fail. Ask them to cover their mask with something and they fail as well. They can't do it without their mask. |

| its not really that either - its that we dont use it as fast as we could its like running an engine on 10% if we only wanted to go slow then we would have no use to put it any higher - most of us haven't "evolved" to use any more than that much of our brain - but some genetic coding in some people makes their brain naturally work faster - what results this produces however is to be seen |

| actually, that misconception originally came from a book written in 1954 entitled how to make friends and influence people. the author was actually referring to our potential intelligence being drained by social and stress related factors. i recommend reading Jay Ingram's book "the theatre of the mind". It explains the 10% misconception in the 3rd or 4th chapter and is a great read so far |
